Job Description

We are recruiting an outstanding Distribution Centre Manager to join our experienced senior management team. This role grants autonomy and responsibility for the daily management of our depot.

Key responsibilities include:

• Achieving depot objectives related to health & safety, security, productivity, transport, and costs
• Delivering exceptional customer service with a motivated team
• Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment
• Encouraging a competitive atmosphere with clear productivity and service targets
• Managing the depot\’s P&L through effective planning and reporting

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

• Experience in logistics or distribution, managing large, fast-paced 24/7 operations with a throughput of 25,000+ daily and over 250 employees
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence strategy and liaise with directors
• Decisive and effective decision-making skills under pressure
• A passion for building and motivating high-performing teams
• Problem-solving skills, resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility
• Alignment with DPD\’s core values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work, and Accountability
• Availability to work any 5 shifts in a 365-day operation, including weekends
• Full UK driving license
