Job Description
As a Collection and Delivery Driver for DPD, you will be the face of our company and play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities include:
- Serving as the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service when collecting or delivering parcels
- Loading parcels onto your 3.5‑tonne van efficiently at the depot
- Following a daily delivery schedule and managing your route effectively to ensure timely collections and deliveries
- Safely operating and maintaining the van, adhering to traffic laws and company policies
- Scanning and recording parcel information accurately using handheld devices
- Collecting signatures and other necessary proof of delivery from customers
- Reporting delivery issues, vehicle problems, or customer concerns to your supervisor promptly
- Maintaining a clean and organised van, conducting daily vehicle checks, and reporting any maintenance needs
- Adapting to changing weather conditions and adjusting your delivery approach accordingly
- Collaborating with depot staff and other drivers to ensure smooth operations and efficient parcel sorting
- Wearing the provided uniform and PPE at all times while on duty

Qualifications
To be considered, you must have:
- Full UK driving licence with at least 12 months regular driving experience
