LOCATION: DPD Basingstoke – Horizon 5, Basingstoke, RG24 8QL
The Role
We’re looking for someone to take the wheel and own a designated local route. You’ll be the final boss of the delivery game, ensuring every parcel hits its destination with 10/10 service. With around 40‑50 stops a day, you’ll be the ultimate problem‑solver, navigating your community to make life easier for customers.
Responsibilities
- Drive a 7.5‑tonne vehicle on local routes, maintaining safety, professionalism, and efficiency.
- Use Saturn handheld devices to track progress, manage deliveries, and stay ahead of the game.
- Present a friendly face to customers, greeting them and providing a positive experience.
- Load and unload parcels using high‑end gear such as sack barrows and hand trucks, ensuring safe lifting.
Qualifications
- A valid 7.5‑tonne (C1) licence and DQC/CPC accreditation.
- Ideally 6 months recent driving experience handling 7.5‑tonne vehicles.
- Professional, approachable, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Physically active and comfortable with lifting involved in the job.
- Respectful, customer‑focused, and aligned with the company’s values.
