Our Central Security Manager in the East Midlands is looking for a reliable and dedicated Gatehouse Operative.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that only authorised vehicles (DPD, subcontractors and delivery vehicles) are given access and egress to the site.
- Communicate vehicle movements to other departments within the business.
- Perform physical checks of vehicle details and seals.
- Ensure all reported empty trailers arriving or departing are physically checked.
- Verify that trailer locking systems are working effectively.
- Work as part of a team to deliver excellent gatehouse security and customer service.
- Coordinate activities between contractors, employees, and visitors.
- Liaise with emergency services and other third-party organisations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar position is advantageous; full training will be provided.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a responsible, trustworthy attitude.
- The ability to use initiative and follow procedures and guidelines.
- A professional appearance and attitude at times.
- Flexibility to work varied hours to fit the current shift roster.
