Job Description
Our Site Manager is currently recruiting for a dedicated and reliable Goods on Hold Operative to help strengthen our depot operations team.
In this role, you will work closely with the Operations Manager and will be responsible for managing the held parcel process within the depot to meet deadlines and targets. You will ensure maximum visibility of parcels during their lifecycle and ensure parcels are presented for delivery on the required date. Additionally, you will resolve customer queries and handle depot collections.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all ‘unable to locate’ parcels have the correct delivery information.
- Handling damaged or open parcels by taking them to the goods on hold area for investigation.
- Requesting further information or returning parcels to customers as needed.
- Completing administration for mis-routed and mislabelled parcels.
- Collaborating with senior management and security to prevent fraudulent consignments.
- Performing housekeeping checks.
- Managing customer parcel searches upon request.
