Our International Commercial Finance Manager is looking to recruit an ambitious Commercial Data Analyst to work within our high performing International Operations Department (IOD) based at Oldbury, B69 4DA. Working within DPD International Operations, you will provide support to the DPD Group UK business in areas of International Operations and Commercial Insight.
Examples of work you would be involved with include:
- Proactive resolution to service performance issues using cause analysis reports and liaison with other departments to complete actions that will improve DPD Classic service.
- Ensuring that all operational procedures are implemented and adhered to, in line with the development of the International products.
- Conduct trend analysis on receipt of any escalations relating to DPD Classic service quality and non-compliance and submit a report of actions for resolution.
- Communicate any changes to DPD Classic operational procedures or updates that could affect the DPD Group customers’ deliveries.
- Assist, when requested and deemed necessary, presentations to International clients, SMT and internal departments and attend any meetings when required to provide international knowledge.
- Undertake specific projects, working groups or other duties as required by the International management team in order to develop or enhance the international service offering.
- Provide recommendations for customer experience improvements on the DPD Classic service to the International Road Service Delivery Manager, International Road Service Team Leader and DPD Group stakeholders.
- Monitor DPD Classic vehicle fill rates and utilisation to ensure correct capacity is planned for on a daily basis.
- Regularly liaise with the Road Service Team and DPD Group stakeholders to review and identify the current operational trends that can help drive change and enable us to achieve Road Service KPI’s.
- Provide on time analytical, commercial and decision support to the International Commercial Finance Manager and other stakeholders.
- Support the International Commercial Finance Manager in ensuring all department deadlines are met and weekly and monthly management reports are completed within agreed timelines.
- Review Supplier commercial rates on a quarterly basis and highlight any savings.
- Lead in providing on time analytical, commercial and decision support information to budget holders.
- Report key customers contribution figures with additional commercial insight.
- Monitor the weekly customer trends and give input to the forecast process.
- Propose solutions to ensure time spent on transactional processes is reduced to a minimum.
- Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
- Highlight and investigate cost saving ideas working with all IOD teams and present to the International Commercial Finance Manager.
- Work closely with the IOD Managers to ensure accurate costing and pricing of bespoke commercial solutions.
- Lead with generating new analysis and reporting to make money, save money, or improve service.
- Proactively network in other departments to understand their functions and relative impact to the commercial department.
- Work with other Analysts in the IOD on joint projects to gain more insight and add value.
- Contribute to the reconciliation and review of customer or destination margins with key commercial insight.
- Effectively price operational bespoke solutions for key customers and understand impact to the business.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting of financial information to support operational decisions.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role you will have very high attention to detail and be passionate about Data Analysis with extensive experience using Excel / Google Suite applications. You will have drive and enthusiasm, and ability to work to strict deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. We would also expect you to have:
