Responsibilities
The role of Warehouse Operative is critical to the safe and efficient movement of parcels within our depots. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring DPD maintains its commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Executing the unloading, scanning, sorting, and loading of parcels with precision and care
- Ensuring the swift and secure transit of items through our network
- Handling large and heavy parcels which could weight up to 25kg
- Maintaining a high level of physical capability to meet the demands of the role
- Adhering to shift patterns as part of our 365-day operational schedule
- Upholding strict health and safety standards at all times
- Demonstrating flexibility to work across various areas of the warehouse as required
- Maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Exhibiting strong organisational skills to manage workload effectively
- Performing duties efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation, crucial for maintaining high performance standards
- High attention to detail, essential for accurate parcel handling and processing
- Good organisational skills to effectively manage workload and meet operational targets
- Demonstrated ability to perform efficiently under high-pressure situations and strict deadlines

- Physical capacity to lift, load, and carry items weighing up to 25kg on a regular basis
- Some understanding of Health and Safety practices within a warehouse setting would be advantageous
