Job Description
- Contract Type: Permanent / 40 hours per week
- Salary: £30,995 - increasing to £32,495 on completion of relevant MHE training
- Hours of Work: Mon - Fri 16:30 - 01:00 - Sat & Sun - 15:00 - 23:30
- Days of Work: 5 days per week
DPD Logistics are a fulfilment warehouse; we hold stock for a number of key customers at our site in Tamworth and as a Warehouse Logistics Operative you will be required to pick and pack to meet consumer demand.
This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift but as a warehouse operative you will be the backbone of our logistics operation playing an important role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service. Key duties include;
- Loading and unloading, scanning, picking and packing parcels, including handling items up to 25kg
- Using our tech and WMS to ensure every parcel gets to the right place, checking paperwork matches physical delivery
- Transfer of goods to suitable storage, carrying out replenishment tasks, and highlighting any discrepancies
- Operation of different Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including Counter Balance, Flexi Trucks and Man Riders
- Comply with Health, Safety and Security policies, communicating with customers, suppliers and third party hauliers
