Job Description
Contract Type: Permanent / 40 hours per week
Salary: £28,177 - increasing to £29,677 on completion of relevant MHE training
Hours of Work: 08:00 to 16:30
Days of Work: As per request to recruit
DPD Logistics are a fulfilment warehouse; we hold stock for a number of key customers at our site in Tamworth and as a Warehouse Logistics Operative you will be required to pick and pack to meet consumer demand. This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift but as a warehouse operative you will be the backbone of our logistics operation playing an important role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.
Key duties include:
- Loading and unloading, scanning, picking and packing parcels with precision.
- Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!).
- Using our tech to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time.
- Operation of different Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including Counter Balance, Flexi trucks and Man riders.
You’ll receive: Full training from Day 1 and all required uniform and PPE.
