Contract: Fixed Term Contract 16 Months - 37.5 Hours Per Week

Salary: Circa £49,900 per annum plus bonus

Location: DPD Smethwick, Roebuck Lane, Smethwick, B66 1BY

Days of Work: Monday to Friday

Hours of Work: 09:00 - 17:30

Our Finance team is looking for a skilled Management Accountant to join their high performing team, you will report into our Finance Manager. Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Working closely with Finance Managers on specific projects
  • Developing strong relationships across the business and with external stakeholders
  • Management of Weekly and Monthly Financial P/L and year end reporting, while being able to consolidate the information into concise reports
  • Compiling annual plans and presenting on these to Senior Management
  • Preparation of monthly Balance sheets
  • Identifying cost savings and efficiencies
  • Review and redesign existing processes to facilitate decision making
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude is crucial for this role

As the successful candidate you will be educated to degree level or equivalent and hold an ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification. We would also expect:

  • A willingness to challenge all reporting and operational practices
  • Be able to Business Partner at all levels within the International
  • Be able to self-manage their workload and prioritise tasks according to deadlines, importance and urgency
  • Have a problem solving attitude with the drive to delivering results
  • Have strong analytical skills and be able to present results in a simple and clear manner
  • Be proactive in looking for continuous improvement in your area of responsibility and beyond
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft and Google Reporting Suite applications
  • Have a keen eye for detail and produce work to an excellent presentation standard
