Job Description

Purpose of Position
Responsible for a team of People Business Partners, ensuring that both proactive and reactive support is provided to the business in a consistent and professional manner in line with the company D&I strategy. Taking ownership for the delivery of the People Strategy and ensuring that key stakeholders fully understand the impact of operational decisions. Communicate regularly with the Head of People and Director of People & Talent on any potential risks or opportunities.


Key Task & Responsibilities
● Support the PBP’s in Managing complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy.
● Apply P&T and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision making skills.
● Advise managers on the terms and conditions of employment and knowledge share best practice with them.
● Develop P&T policies and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes.
● Work closely with the Talent team to identify development needs and opportunities.
● Liaise closely with senior managers to provide first line advice on current and existing issues.
● Work closely with the Reward and Benefits team to ensure consistent application of the reward strategy
● Provide advice on recruitment and selection strategies.
● Manage talent and succession planning.
● Drive alignment between the People Strategy and business goals.
● Continuously monitor and review People policies and processes and propose changes where necessary.
● Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
● Support change management processes.
