As a Collection and Delivery Driver for DPD, you'll be the face of our company and play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service when collecting or delivering parcels.
- Starting your shift at the depot where you'll be responsible for efficiently loading parcels onto your 3.5 tonne van.
- Following a daily delivery schedule and managing your route effectively to ensure timely collections and deliveries.
- Safely operating and maintaining the 3.5 tonne van, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Accurately scanning and recording parcel information using handheld devices.
- Collecting signatures and other necessary proof of delivery from customers.
- Promptly reporting any delivery issues, vehicle problems, or customer concerns to your supervisor.
- Maintaining a clean and organised van, conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Adapting to changing weather conditions and adjusting your delivery approach accordingly.
- Collaborating with depot staff and other drivers to ensure smooth operations and efficient parcel sorting.
- Wearing the provided uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on duty.

Qualifications
What weβre looking for: To be considered for the role you must have:
- Held a full UK driving licence and had regular driving experience for 12 months or more.
- Recognise the value of providing great customer service.

- Are friendly, approachable, positive, resourceful, and professional.
- Are able to multi-task and problem solve.
- Have the ability to lift, load, and carry parcels weighing up to 25kg / 30kg.

- Have basic computer skills and the ability to use handheld devices.
- Are comfortable working in various weather conditions.
