Job Description We are currently recruiting an outstanding General Manager to join and strengthen our highly experienced senior management team. As a General Manager, you will have the autonomy and responsibility for the day-to-day site management. Additionally, you will be accountable for: Achieving depot objectives related to health & safety, security, productivity, transport, and cost Delivering outstanding service to our customers with a team driven to excel Providing a safe and healthy environment for your teams Encouraging a competitive environment with clear productivity and service level targets Managing the depot through P&L via effective planning and reporting Qualifications What we’re looking for Experience in logistics or distribution industry, managing large, fast-paced, 24/7 operations with significant staff responsibility Confident communicator and presenter, capable of leading teams, influencing strategy, and liaising with Directors Decisive and effective decision-maker in a time-pressured environment Passionate about building and motivating high-performing teams Enjoys resolving problems, demonstrating resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility Embodies DPD DNA values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work, and Accountability Availability to cover any 5 shifts, including weekends, as depots operate 365 days a year Full UK driving licence is essential Additional Information Remuneration and Benefits: Includes a competitive salary, bonus scheme based on performance, company car or cash allowance, and Private Medical Insurance.
