Job Description
We are recruiting an outstanding Distribution Centre Manager to join our highly experienced senior management team. As a Distribution Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your depot.
You will also be accountable for:
- Achieving depot objectives related to health & safety, security, productivity, transport, and cost
- Delivering outstanding customer service through a motivated team
- Providing a safe and healthy working environment
- Encouraging a competitive environment with clear productivity and service targets
- Managing the depot\'s P&L through effective planning and reporting
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
- Experience in the logistics or distribution industry, managing large, fast-paced, 24/7 operations with a daily throughput of 25,000+ and a workforce of over 250 employees
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence strategy and liaise with directors
- Decisive and effective decision-making skills in a time-pressured environment
- A passion for building and motivating high-performing teams
- Resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility to resolve problems effectively
- Alignment with DPD\'s core values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work, and Accountability
- Availability to work any 5 shifts, including weekends, as depots operate 365 days a year
- A full UK driving license is essential
