We are currently recruiting an outstanding Distribution Centre Manager to join and strengthen our highly experienced senior management team. As a Distribution Centre Manager, you will have the autonomy and responsibility for the day-to-day site management of your depot. Additionally, you will be accountable for:
- Achieving all depot objectives related to health & safety, security, productivity, transport, and cost
- Delivering outstanding service to our customers with a team driven to excel
- Providing a safe and healthy environment for your team
- Encouraging a competitive environment with clear productivity and service targets
- Managing the depot's P&L through effective planning and reporting
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in logistics or distribution industry, managing large, fast-paced, 24/7 operations with a daily throughput of 25,000+ and a workforce over 250 employees
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence strategy and liaise with directors
- Decisive and effective decision-making skills in a high-pressure environment
- A passion for building and motivating high-performing teams
- Problem-solving skills, resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility
- Demonstration of DPD core values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work, and Accountability
- Availability to work any 5 shifts including weekends, as our depots operate 365 days a year
- Full UK driving license is essential
