We are currently recruiting an outstanding Distribution Centre Manager to join our highly experienced senior management team. As a Distribution Centre Manager, you will have autonomy and responsibility for the day-to-day management of your depot. You will also be accountable for:
- Achieving all depot objectives in terms of health & safety, security, productivity, transport, and cost
- Delivering outstanding service to our customers with a team driven to excel
- Providing a safe and healthy environment for your teams
- Encouraging a competitive environment with clear productivity and service level targets
- Managing the depot through P&L via effective planning and reporting
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in the logistics or distribution industry, managing large, fast-paced, 24/7 operations with a daily throughput of 25,000+ and a workforce exceeding 250 employees
- Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of influencing strategy and liaising with directors
- Decisive and effective decision-making skills in high-pressure environments
- A passion for building and motivating high-performing teams
- Resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility to resolve problems effectively
- Alignment with DPD's core values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work, and Accountability
- Availability to work any 5 shifts, including weekends, as our depots operate 365 days a year
- A full UK driving licence is essential
