Job Description
As a Collection and Delivery Driver for DPD, you\βll be the face of our company and play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service when collecting or delivering parcels
- Starting your shift at the depot, where you\βll be responsible for efficiently loading parcels onto your 3.5 tonne van
- Following a daily delivery schedule and managing your route effectively to ensure timely collections and deliveries
- Safely operating and maintaining the 3.5 tonne van, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Accurately scanning and recording parcel information using handheld devices
- Collecting signatures and other necessary proof of delivery from customers
- Promptly reporting any delivery issues, vehicle problems, or customer concerns to your supervisor
- Maintaining a clean and organised van, conducting daily vehicle checks, and reporting any maintenance needs
- Adapting to changing weather conditions and adjusting your delivery approach accordingly
- Collaborating with depot staff and other drivers to ensure smooth operations and efficient parcel sorting
- Wearing the provided uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on duty

Held a full UK driving licence and had regular driving experience for 12 months or more

- Are comfortable working in various weather conditions
