We are seeking a highly skilled and disciplined Class 1 Shunter to take ownership of our nocturnal yard operations. In this role, you serve as the primary conductor of our logistical flow, ensuring that every movement is executed with precision to maintain the integrity of our high-speed supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precision Maneuvering: You will be responsible for the safe and efficient navigation of trailers and tug units throughout the yard.
- Systems & Compliance: You will utilize our internal management systems to meticulously log all trailer transitions and conduct rigorous pre-use vehicle inspections.
- Operational Performance: You will facilitate seamless communication between the warehouse floor and our fleet drivers.
- Dynamic Agility: During periods of fluctuating volume, you will assist with inventory management tasks or perform short-haul local runs as required.
