Job Description
The Role
We're looking for someone to take the wheel and own a designated local route. You aren't just moving boxes; you're the final boss of the delivery game, ensuring every parcel hits its destination with 10/10 service. With around 25 stops a day, you'll be the ultimate problem-solver, navigating your community and making life easier for our customers. Your role is vital in providing a service that genuinely makes a difference to our customers.
The Role Breakdown
- Drive the Vibe: Get behind the wheel of a 7.5 Tonne vehicle. You'll be cruising local routes, keeping it safe, professional, and efficient.
- Master the Tech: No paper maps here. You'll use our industry-leading Saturn handheld devices. It's basically your mission control for tracking progress, managing deliveries, and staying ahead of the game.
- The Main Character Energy: You're the friendly face our customers see every day. Whether it's a quick "hello" or a helpful drop-off, your energy defines the DPD experience.
- The Hustle: You'll be loading and unloading parcels, using high-end gear like sack barrows and hand trucks to handle the heavy lifting safely. Think of it as a paid workout while you're on the move.
If you're someone who loves autonomy, stays tech-savvy, and enjoys being out in the real world rather than stuck behind a screen, this is your lane.
What You Bring
- The Essentials: A valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) licence and DQC/CPC accreditation.
- Experience: Ideally 6 months recent driving experience handling 7.5 Tonne vehicles.
- Vibe: You're professional, approachable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Fitness: You're physically active and comfortable with the lifting involved in the job.
- Values: You care about doing a good job and treat customers and colleagues with respect.
