An exciting opportunity has arisen at our DP World Contract Logistics site for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities from receipt to delivery, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will lead and motivate a team, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement across the operation. This is an on-site position, working Monday through Friday.
Location: DP World Contract Logistics, Stanford-le-Hope, Essex
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, this will be a rotating shift pattern between the core hours of 6am and 10pm

How You Will Contribute
- Supervise warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely handling, picking, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure all warehouse operations comply with health and safety standards.
- Identify and escalate potential quality issues, including hygiene and damage concerns.
- Lead operational functions and make strong decisions to deliver efficient service.
- Motivate and develop team members through performance management and coaching.
- Monitor and manage KPI targets to ensure cost-effective and service-focused operations.
- Produce and distribute accurate daily and weekly KPI reports.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage resources effectively, including seasonal planning and shift briefings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legislative requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact for resolving performance issues or customer complaints.
- Promote a culture of engagement, inclusion, and open communication across the site.
What You Will Bring
- Qualifications: Basic high school education with exam passes in English and Mathematics. College qualifications beneficial but not essential.
- Experience: Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts. Familiarity with warehouse systems and the ability to learn new tools quickly. Knowledge of safe systems of work and health & safety procedures. Proven ability to work independently and meet performance targets. Experience in conducting disciplinaries and managing absence reporting. Background in quality and resource management.
