Job Description

DP World has an exciting opportunity for a Transport Director to join our team in the UK. The Transport Director will be responsible for driving business growth through road transport services, exceeding sales targets, ensuring customer satisfaction, and complying with UK road regulations. The role focuses on developing the road transport service offering, aligning with the overall strategy, and consolidating existing transport operations into a cohesive sales value proposition.

How Will You Contribute

1. Own the product development and growth strategy of the Domestic Transport service offering.
2. Develop team capabilities and structure for scalability and compliance.
3. Collaborate with existing DP World Transport operations to identify synergies and best practices.
4. Establish and maintain professional relationships with key personnel within customer organizations.
5. Manage internal stakeholders to communicate strategy and secure buy-in.
6. Understand customer buying processes and requirements.
7. Coordinate growth initiatives specific to customer transport needs, targeting profitable sales and strategic objectives.
8. Oversee solution development, pricing, and negotiations post-bid, involving all key stakeholders.
9. Handle RFQs for new and renewing business, managing the commercial relationship and contract negotiations.
10. Track key account metrics, address performance issues, and initiate corrective actions.
11. Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of opportunities, including their value and probability of success.
12. Assist with high-severity requests or escalations as needed.
13. Coordinate company resources to meet account performance and customer expectations.
14. Plan and facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews with accounts.

What Will You Bring

1. Degree or equivalent in business administration or transport.
2. CPC certification.
3. Proven track record of achieving sales quotas in transport-related businesses.
4. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the transport industry, operating or selling transport services.
5. Extensive sales experience.
6. Leadership and team management skills.
