About The Role

DP World is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to play a key role in our UK Transport Department (Freight Forwarding). In this operational role, you’ll work closely with teams across the business to ensure transport requirements are met efficiently and cost-effectively. You’ll support the development of the department, liaise with suppliers, and help deliver seamless logistics solutions that meet both customer expectations and commercial goals. NOTE: This role is based in our Manchester office and is an onsite Monday – Friday position.

How Will You Contribute

  • Coordinate and book transport with haulage partners in line with customer requirements and service expectations.
  • Perform daily checks to ensure all transport operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Monitor delivery performance and proactively address any delays or service issues.
  • Communicate delivery updates to customers, providing timely information and managing expectations.
  • Liaise with haulage partners to resolve operational issues, ensuring effective and timely solutions are implemented.
  • Prepare and distribute daily operational reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date transport records within the in-house system.
  • Conduct an operational role in the UK Transport Department (Freight Forwarding) working with all operations departments across the business.
  • Work closely with line manager at an operational level and assist with developing the department.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure all operational requirements of the business are fulfilled as requested, as well as ensuring the most cost-efficient solution is utilised.

What You Will Bring

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of logistics operations and transport planning (desirable).
  • Good geographical awareness of the UK road network.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage.
  • You take pride in getting things right the first time.
  • You’re meticulous, organised, and nothing escapes your notice.
  • Confident communicator—clear, articulate, and tactful.
  • You work well independently but thrive in a team environment.
  • You’re approachable, reliable, and build strong working relationships across diverse teams.
