DP World are currently recruiting for a Technical Security Manager to be based ideally within Eastern Europe (Poland/Hungary/Romania etc) although could also be anywhere within Central Europe, who will provide expert support and guidance on relevant security system infrastructure during bids, RFQ and launch projects. In this role you will be involved in the design, implementation and project management of security solutions for our BAU and new launch projects both across the UK and Europe.

This will be a remote working role with the expectation that you will have flexibility to travel across sites in the UK and Europe when required and can also be based anywhere within Central Europe.

About the role:

  • Provide Technical Security expertise and support in region for new security system requirements in BAU/Ops and for new Bids/RFQ\'s/Projects/Launch
  • Manage all aspects of project management for the assigned security solution project, facilitating compliant delivery and successful change
  • Support development, roll out and compliance in relation to Group and region expectations including Security strategy as well as customer requirements plus applicable standards such as TAPA and ISPS
  • Support and if necessary lead the project management of security system changes including planning actions and schedules, expediting and reporting progress e.g. to Operations and region Security team, noting changes typically managed by Operations supported by region Security
  • Collaborate with Procurement to ensure successful purchasing and value engineering of security systems
  • Define specifications for equipment and solutions, cooperating with region Security team, Operations and Procurement, as well as Group Security
  • Maintain knowledge of latest technological advancements in security solutions (AI) and recommend best practices which will achieve effective risk management and efficiencies
  • Support security solution competence assurance defining training needs, inputting to content and presenting
  • Maintain excellent relationships with colleagues including region Security team and Group Security, vendors (including suppliers and integrators), OEMs and customers
  • Compliance audits – conduct and support / facilitate including internal and external such as TAPA, TISAX, AEO, and ISO 28000
  • Cooperate with enforcement / public authorities including national and regional e.g. DE LBA, Border Force, customs, police/Interpol
  • Support during security investigations and incidents including but not limited to damage, theft and fraud
  • Manage purchase orders and payments for new customers
  • Risk assessment including M&A, vendor due diligence and surveys
  • Maintain data base of security systems installed at all sites under jurisdiction.
  • Ensure security systems maintenance contracts are in place for each site under jurisdiction
  • Undertake periodical systems audit for operational sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Collaborate with IT/cybersecurity teams to align physical and cyber security operations.
  • Develop and deliver training programmes to regional staff aligned with area of expertise

Your Key Skills:

  • TAPA Facility Security Requirements (FSR) and TSR, AEO, TISAX, ISO 27001, ISO 28000,
  • Certified and approved ISO (Information Security Officer)
  • Hazardous goods safety adviser/Explosives license A20 Air freight Security Adviser e.g. DE LBA Officer
  • 5 years\' experience of providing technical security solutions in a similar role for a logistics operator or contractor at a large multinational organisation, e.g. systems integrator or installer
  • 5 years of professional experience in security, intervention or intrusion detection systems and risk and threat defence
  • Expert knowledge of Security standards including TAPA, ISPS, AEO ISO, TISAX and customer requirements e.g. technology, automotive and chemicals
  • Lifelong learner, comfortable with change and quick to acquire and utilise information
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and OJEU
  • Thorough familiarity with compliance checks e.g. UAT, and process for achieving external verification / certification
  • Effective management of handover from bid/project/launch to BAU/operations
