Team Leader

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our operations team based in Minworth on the PM shift. (3pm – 11pm)
In this role, you will support the day-to-day running of the operation by assisting the Supervisor and providing cover for the Shift Manager when required. You will play a key role in maintaining operational standards, supporting team performance, and ensuring a safe, high-quality working environment.
About the role
Support the Supervisor with the daily coordination and smooth running of warehouse operations.
Provide cover for the Shift Manager during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making.
Ensure all operational tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with agreed procedures.
Act as a key liaison point between departments to support effective communication and operational flow.
Maintain high standards of quality across all operational activities.
Promote, monitor, and enforce safe systems of work and standard operating procedures.
Coach and support warehouse operatives on a daily basis to ensure understanding and adherence to processes and procedures.
Monitor workloads, organise tasks, and support colleagues to ensure deadlines and service requirements are met.
Support a positive, collaborative team environment that enables colleagues to perform at their best.
Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times, demonstrating behaviours aligned to the company’s values, principles, and Code of Conduct.
Carry out additional duties as required to support operational needs.
Your Key Skills
Previous experience leading or supporting a team in an operational environment.
Experience working within a logistics or warehouse environment is desirable.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively across teams.
Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and general IT systems, including Microsoft Excel.
Ability to organise, prioritise, and delegate tasks effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Safety‑focused approach with a strong commitment to safe working practices.
Collaborative leadership style with the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing operational demands.
Reliable and professional, with a strong sense of accountability.
Willingness to travel when required.
