About the Role
Lead a team in a highly complex automotive environment to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all operational processes. You will plan, organize, direct, and run day-to-day activities to exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and monitor the receiving, shipping, storage, and distribution of all items from suppliers or production shops to ensure parts and supplies are located and distributed to the proper departments effectively and efficiently.
- Plan and coordinate work, train and motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of team members; ensure their ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
- Monitor the unloading or loading of all materials into or out of the facility, and supervise the movement of material to and from storage in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.
- Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Position requires a high school diploma. A college degree is preferred.
- Experience supervising in an automotive or logistics based industry.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people including internal and external customers, management, and functional departments.
