Responsibilities
- Assisting with the setting up of new business units (from a system & financial reporting perspective, ensuring adherence to global SOP’s)
- Preparation of the monthly financial & business reporting for the individual business unit(s)
- Preparation & presentation of monthly business reports (MBR), providing detailed analysis & reporting on the variances to budget and forecasts
- Preparation & analysis of the monthly Business Unit KPI’s & other operational performance measures
- Liaising closely with all stakeholders including Operations, Global Shared Service Centre and the Regional Accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Review the monthly performance with the Business Unit Managers including preparation, monitoring & challenging performance, ensuring follow up & corrective action requirements to ensure optimal operational performance
- Preparation of the annual budget and forecasts, for the individual Business Units
- Assisting with the year-end statutory reporting
- Completion of other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an operationally focused finance / controlling role
- Experience of Oracle would be desirable (not essential)
- Knowledge of IFRS & local GAAP reporting regulations is an advantage
- Experience of working within Logistics or Freight Forwarding would be an advantage

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively, in order to meet reporting deadlines
- Ability to communicate with a variety of people, with different regional backgrounds and roles
- Strong business acumen and the ability to see the “Big Picture”
- Flexibility and the willingness to learn and develop on the job
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Hungarian & English (knowledge of the German language would also be an advantage)
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools – a strong Excel proficiency is essential (knowledge of the BPC add-on would be an advantage)
