DP World currently have an amazing opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Technician to join our Quay Crane engineering department. This role will work alongside the Team leader and step up when needed into the role themselves. This role will be working the day/night shift position, covering weekdays and weekends.
Preventative maintenance, repairs, and project-related work must be performed on all QC equipment as part of this function, and all work must be completed quickly and safely. They will assist with new equipment delivery, inspection, erection, and commissioning as well.
How Will You Contribute
- Provide/collect data/information during the execution of preventive, emergency, and corrective maintenance tasks on any asset to Engineering Planners.
- Coordinate with engineering planners, in order to proficiently execute the plan set up by planners and maintain workloads due to operational demand.
- Coordinate with engineering stores to maintain stock levels and new orders.
- In the absence of Team leader, manage the team of technicians while ensuring that breakdowns are promptly attended/rectified, and maintenance tasks are carried out in a proficient and safe manner.
- Manage and supervise external contractors working on any asset while ensuring that safe working practices are always adhered to.
- Provide support/input to improve/develop and update method statements and risk assessments for any preventive maintenance or repairs carried out on any asset.
- Provide support/input to improve/develop and update PM task lists for current and new equipment.
- Lead by example and encourage others to implement/improve safe working procedures and practices.
- Compile and distribute shift reports at the end of the shift.
What You Will Bring
- National Qualifications Framework – Minimum Level 3 Qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds etc.)
- Professional qualification in electrical discipline.
- Excellent knowledge of equipment maintenance/engineering.
- Professionally qualified in electrical/mechanical discipline.
- Experience and knowledge of HSE regulations related to equipment maintenance and activities.
- Excellent communication and personal skills.
- Excellent team player.
- Dynamic, creative, and innovative.

- A full valid UK driving licence or appropriate international licence allowing you to drive on UK roads

- Due to manufacturing guidance and safety weight limits, our safety critical roles require an individual to weigh under 130kg.
