We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our team and support a full range of hard and soft FM services across our Port and Logistics Park. Our site spans over 400 football pitches in size and we are looking for a dynamic candidate who can support/manage the day to day operation to maintain our port and park buildings to a high and sustainable standard. This includes arranging/providing reactive maintenance, emergency cover, and resilience to the Port, Park Infrastructure, and maintaining standards to meet pre-set KPIs.
Location: DP World London Gateway, Essex
Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
How you will contribute:
- Execute/Manage installation, repair and maintenance activities according to London Gateway Facilities Management processes, procedures and safety regulations.
- Assist in escorting external contractors on and around site.
- Resolve emergency calls during the working day.
- Ensure that method statements and risk assessments of all the repair and maintenance activities are documented, implemented and updated as necessary.
- Ensure that all information related to projects, installation, repair and maintenance activities are recorded for each asset during the life cycle of the asset.
- Maintain FM non-M&E building plant asset database and document control of FM administrative and maintenance records.
- Lead projects end to end, from planning through to quality assurance and evaluation.
- Manage minor repairs and improvements to the site and equipment e.g. replacement of locks, putting up shelving, decorating, plumbing, electrical and carpentry works, decorating, office and furniture movement etc.
- Responsible for management of other site services staff, contractors and contracted staff as applicable ensuring team are appropriately skilled and trained for their roles and that related Risk Assessments, toolbox is communicated, delivered and verified.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and address any findings to ensure a safe environment free of risks to health.
- Order equipment, furniture and materials following correct procedure to ensure required operational stock levels are met.
- Assist the Facilities Manager in the control of department budgets in order to manage, report and control FM costs.
- Ensure that a safe and healthy work environment exists by being responsible for leading, improving and engaging with Health, Safety, Environment and Security Policies and Procedures, including safe working practices and complying with Fatal Risk Standards to achieve full implementation, review and compliance with all relevant legislation, risk assessments and operating procedures.
- Maintain a high level of personal visibility in operational areas, taking time to discuss work with team.
- Maintain high standards regarding work practice and safety rules and ensure the team adhere to the same high standards, building a proactive safety culture.
- Through high visibility and relationship building, establish a collaborative and professional relationship with all employees, managers and stakeholders, to deliver a proactive safety culture.
- Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World's Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
- Role model positive Health & Safety working practices, ensure responsibility for safety and discipline within their team and report all accidents and 'near misses' in accordance with defined safety procedures.

- Facilities management qualifications, ranging from level 2 (entry) to level 7 (postgraduate).
- NQF L3 or higher, particularly with subjects such as facilities management, business studies or management.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
