About the Role

As a Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the development, optimization, and effective execution of operational processes at our Ostrava site. You will oversee daily logistics and warehouse activities, guide supervisory teams, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This role requires a strong leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands‑on operational management. You will work closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery and high operational performance.
This is a full-time, on-site position.

You are an experienced operations professional with strong leadership capability and deep knowledge of logistics.
You take ownership of results, communicate clearly, and remain effective under pressure.
You are proactive, structured, and committed to continuous improvement — both in processes and in people.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize processes along the logistics value chain.
• Lead and manage subordinate employees, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Oversee day‑to‑day warehouse and logistics operations and ensure smooth workflows.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, quality guidelines, legal requirements, and occupational safety regulations.
• Coordinate personnel planning, availability, and development (training, performance reviews, coaching).
• Handle equipment and resource planning, including preventive or predictive maintenance when needed.
• Communicate directly with customers or stakeholders to understand operational requirements and expectations.
• Prepare for and participate in audits and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Monitor KPIs and performance metrics within your area of responsibility.
• Support corrective action processes and implement improvement measures.
• Follow developments in the logistics/automotive field and integrate best practices into operations.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training or technical/commercial degree.
• Further training in relevant specialist areas (logistics, operations, process management).
• Strong knowledge in logistics, ideally automotive or industrial logistics.
• Knowledge of standards such as DIN EN ISO 9001 and VDA 6.3.
• Understanding of legal, quality, and safety requirements.
• Leadership experience managing teams in an operational environment.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Basic to good English skills (German is an advantage).
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High sense of responsibility and a proactive approach to improvement.

Nice to Have

• Experience with continuous improvement processes (CIP/KVP, Lean, 5S).
• Experience in automotive or transport logistics.
• Knowledge of data protection and information security requirements.
• Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems.
