This is a Business Development based role and is critical for the growth of our Global Freight Forwarding. Our UK-established forwarding division is now primed for growth. Our ideal candidate will have Air and Ocean Freight experience; you will be a strong business developer and will have established contacts to bring with you, BOB within the UK and Ireland.

About the Role
How you will contribute:
- Manage your Book of Business (BOB) ensuring constant growth in GP.
- Develop and implement a personal sales plan and call cycle that incorporates initiatives for building the relationships necessary to gain new business.
- Develop a robust pipeline of opportunities with prospective new customer accounts initially targeting the SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) businesses to exceed targets.
- Responsible for achieving or exceeding monthly targets and KPI’s.
- Be compliant to company policies and processes.
- Undertake market analysis and competitive research in the local market.
- Assist BOB clients in their day-by-day requests related to export/import quotations/negotiations to ensure proper opportunity closing.
- Liaise with DPW internal Network and external Partner Agents to guarantee the best possible service assistance to working opportunities.
- Work with the CRM system to properly manage personal pipeline and record activity that will be base for Sales Incentive Scheme.
- Stay updated about local regulations, industry, new practices and any enhancements.
- Travel across the UK.
- Responsible for completing SOP’s and confirming with operations to support the solution provided to the Customer.
What you will bring:
- EXPERIENCE: Proven track record in sales field, with at least 3 years of recent and relevant sales experience in Freight Forwarding. Freight Forwarding experience is mandatory.
- SKILLS: Solid and demonstrated working knowledge of the Freight Forwarding Industry.
- Execution Sales Skills – Ability to research, identify, tackle, grow and close business opportunities ensuring the needed support from product and operations.
- Agile Skills - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines.
- Computer Skills - Intermediate computer skills with a proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Communication – Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with clients, carriers, other forwarders, vendors.
- Languages - You speak and write fluent English – additional languages are a bonus, but not a must.
