We have an exciting opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to be based at the London Gateway Port in Stanford le Hope - Essex. In this role you will ensure that our equipment operates under an optimal planned maintenance regime that aligns with Asset Management, Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM), and DP World Reliability best practices. You will play a key role in the implementation and forward planning of the DP World Reliability Program, driving continuous improvement within Engineering and Operations.
About the Role
- Supports the execution of the DP World Reliability Program, ensuring alignment with global standards and strategic goals.
- Supports and instils a strong reliability culture across the organization.
- Collaborate with internal reliability specialists, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the Global Reliability Program and the 5-year strategic plan.
- Compile and report monthly reliability progress reports globally.
- Develop and implement reliability strategies to achieve 100% Predictive Maintenance (PdM) coverage for Quay Cranes (QCs), Automated Stacking Cranes (ASCs), Shuttles and other mobile equipment.
- Lead initiatives to improve Mean Moves Between Failures (MMBF).
- Oversee various projects related to reliability initiatives planning from idea to execution, including obtaining approval.
- Regularly review all planned maintenance tasks to ensure:
- Clear, precise task instructions with consistent standards.
- Well-defined acceptance and discard criteria in line with OEM recommendations.
- Identification and implementation of condition monitoring techniques.
Your Key Skills
- Successful completion of a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship in a relevant trade course, such as NVQ Level 3, HNC.
- Extensive experience in a technical (MECH/ELEC) biased maintenance role with a minimum of a LEVEL 3 NQF qualification (NVQ/City and Guilds etc).
- VCAT-1 is essential with wider qualifications UCAT-1 being desirable.
- Experience with analysis and reporting of reliability measurements presenting information to wider audiences using Excel/PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain highly technical information to non‑technical stakeholders/audiences.
- Certified qualifications in Asset Condition Monitoring Techniques – preferred.
- Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques, including Oil Analysis, Infrared Thermography, Machinery Lubrication, Vibration Measurement, and Motor Current Analysis.
- Heavy industry maintenance experience, particularly in container handling equipment in a similar environment.
