DP World are recruiting for a skilled and analytical Planning Analyst to join our growing Operations team. This role is responsible for supporting effective stock planning, inventory control, and operational performance through accurate data analysis and system management. The successful candidate will investigate stock variances, monitor inventory levels, and provide timely insights to support operational teams and maintain data accuracy across business systems.

About The Role

How you will contribute:

  • Review and analyse component minimum and maximum stock levels by SKU, using historical demand data to support effective inventory planning.
  • Monitor stock availability against agreed minimum and maximum levels, identifying shortages and coordinating stock replenishment activities.
  • Create and manage stock orders to ensure operational requirements are met, including urgent requests driven by unexpected changes in demand.
  • Complete goods receipt (GR) processes, ensuring stock is accurately allocated to the correct system locations.
  • Act as the first point of contact for stock variance investigations, completing initial checks before escalating complex issues to the stock team for further investigation.
  • Perform system-to-system checks across GSX, EWM (SAP), and FileMaker SFS, ensuring unit statuses are aligned and maintaining data integrity.
  • Identify and report system discrepancies and Pareto issues, providing detailed analysis and reports to support management decision-making.
  • Maintain and improve stock management processes, ensuring procedures are documented, accurate, and consistently followed.
  • Work closely with operational departments, acting as a key liaison to resolve issues and improve stock visibility.
  • Complete investigations in a timely manner, ensuring accurate records and alignment across operational systems.
  • Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times, promoting company values, safety standards, ethical practices, and a positive working culture.

Your Key Skills/Experience

  • Experience within logistics, supply chain, inventory control, or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data and identifying trends or opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and data reporting tools.
  • Knowledge and experience of stock management processes and operational systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, investigate issues, and maintain data accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build effective relationships across the business and with customers.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results within agreed deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and within a fast-paced operational environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a positive “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive business information appropriately.
