We are looking for a Import, Export and Domestic Transportation Planner to work within our Technology business based in Dublin, Ireland. This role will be involved in planning and coordinating the international movement of goods, ensuring efficient transport operations that align with company goals and customer requirement.
About the role
- Customs and EU Legislation experience within International Transport
- Familiar with TAPA & GDP process.
- Experience with both Irish Domestic and International planning.
- Financially aware – understand market rates and creating / finding right loads to ensure profitability on all trips.
- Creating and delivering on set Customer KPI’s to ensure we are Best in Class.
- Not afraid to challenge the status quo and bring new ideas to the business.
- Covering weekend and on call roster when operational employees are on annual leave
- Knowledge of fleet maintenance processes – scheduling services etc.
- Working with own Fleet and drivers.
- Legal understanding of Drivers working time etc
Your Key Skills:
- Relevant education within supply chain or experience in similar role
- 4+ years experience in transportation or logistics
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
- PC literate. Experience working Transport Management systems.
- Commercial experience and dealing directly with customers.
- Ability to work to targets and under pressure.
