Customs Project & Improvement Specialist Job Description Key Responsibilities & ContributionsInternal and External Communication: Provide guidance to the internal teams on special cases of Customs Control Measurement, using tools such as: score cards, specific customs analysis, customs reporting, ensuring communication in a cohesive and structured mannerOperational Excellence: Liaison with all operational departments to ensure smooth information and goods flows within the internal teamsTeamwork: Provide support for individual team members and other parties in an effective manner whilst remaining approachable and flexible to facilitate the achievement of personal & overall DP World goalsRoot Cause Analysis: Recognize the requirement for and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions or action plans. Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) and provide feedback with regards to corrective action plans, including required IT-enhancements. Besides analyzing the KPI\’sand root causes provided Customs this includes the review of work instructions of the various departments within DP World to identify risks and opportunities that affect the business.Your Essential QualificationsUniversity Degree: A Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable fieldWork Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years in customs, logistics, or supply chain environmentCustoms Experience: Familiarity with AEO certifications, customs legislation, and international trade processes is generally expectedProject Management: Proven track record in process improvement initiatives and project management within logistics or supply chain operationsCompensationDP World offers exciting and challenging roles within a growing international organization.
