DP World

DP World is looking for a Shift Manager to join our growing operation in Coventry. The role of a Shift Manager is to plan, manage and coordinate the shift.

Core hours for this role are 10:00am – 6:00pm. However, as the operation runs between 7:00am and 9:30pm, flexibility is required to work across different shift patterns to meet operational demands.

How you will contribute

  • You will have responsibility and control of the shift ensuring the highest level of service is available at all times
  • You will monitor the internal and external handovers between departments to ensure clean and complete transfer of product both internally and to external carriers
  • Coordination of all shift activities within the Operation including productivity, cost control, resource utilisation and service achievement
  • You will also be responsible for all H&S on site during your shift period
  • The ability to work under pressure in an everchanging environment and be able to deal with priorities and deadlines as required
  • You must be flexible in line with operational requirements
  • There may also be a requirement to travel both locally and abroad to support other sites, as and when required
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring

  • Good level of Maths and English
  • Relevant experience within a logistics background at a Shift Manager level
  • Competent with Warehouse Management Systems and MS-Office
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Team player, strong communication skills, fast paced environment, able to work independently and be goal‑oriented, proactive work with a high level of commitment
