An excellent opportunity has opened up in our people team as a Culture and Engagement Lead. The Culture and Engagement Lead is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that foster a highly engaged, motivated, and productive workforce. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping a positive employee experience by working closely with the HR team to manage programs that support team members throughout the employee lifecycle—including recruitment, onboarding, retention, recognition, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, and wellness initiatives. This role will require frequent travel to our Southampton Port facility. Lead the development and execution of employee engagement programs that reflect DP World\’s values and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture across both ports. Manage the employee recognition program, ensuring timely and meaningful acknowledgment of achievements and celebration of success. Support the promotion of a strong safety culture by reinforcing safety as a core value through engagement activities, communications, and leadership alignment. Manage employee engagement surveys and feedback processes, including participation tracking, data analysis, and action planning to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with the Learning & Development (L&D) team to promote impactful training, mentoring, and regional development programs. Support the continuous improvement of training and development strategies to enhance employee retention and career progression. Excellent planning and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. High level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and active listening. Strong writing and content creation skills for internal communications. Skilled in using digital tools for engagement, training, and communication (e.g., Microsoft 365, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Yammer, or other intranet tools). Data-savvy, able to analyse feedback, engagement data, and training metrics to inform improvements. Experience designing or delivering engagement, recognition, or cultural change programs. Familiarity with onboarding processes and talent development practices. A full valid UK driving licence or appropriate international licence allowing you to drive on UK roads.
