About the Role

DP World in the UK is at the heart of Britain’s trading future, providing the right trading infrastructure, smart logistical solutions and the benefits of freeport status to our customers. An excellent opportunity has opened within the Finance Team for a UK Claims Coordinator.

Location: Southampton

Hours: 9am – 5.30pm (Hybrid Model)

How you will contribute:

  • Manage insurance claims, including property, equipment, third party, motor, and employee injury cases
  • Collect and maintain accurate data for insurance policy renewals and claims reporting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customer claims teams and internal stakeholders
  • Commission and oversee investigations into claims, ensuring timely and thorough resolution
  • Coordinate with London Gateway on claims policy and processes, including regular travel between sites
  • Support the regional insurance contact with ad hoc insurance placement activities
  • Communicate with claimants and stakeholders throughout the claims process
  • Share insights and trends on common claim causes and collaborate with teams to implement preventative measures

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrable experience in claims handling, ideally within a shipping or terminal environment
  • Understanding of terminal operations and ability to assess liability in damage cases
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Confident working independently and across departments
  • Flexibility to travel to DP World offices across the UK as required

  • A full valid UK driving licence or appropriate international licence allowing you to drive on UK roads.

  • Due to manufacturing guidelines on equipment and site safety critical health and safety requirements, we have strict weight and medical requirements that need to be met and maintained. For our safety critical roles health and medical and fitness checks are performed. Requirements include, but are not limited to, weight, height, blood pressure and hearing.
  • We may close our roles early, depending on the number of applications received.
