Business Intelligence Developer

We are currently recruiting for an IT Lead for our BI development needs at our client site in Minworth. You will work with our end customers and internal Plant Management for support and comply with the syncreon Automotive Software Development Life Cycle, Project Management Methodology and Change Control Processes, including development of software requirement specifications, project plans, statement of work. Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to the processes and/or software identified as critical to the organization Location: Minworth Hours: Monday – Friday 40 hours per week Contract: Permanent Closing Date: How you will contribute Develop Dashboards and online tools delivering both internal operational visibility and external customer facing data presentations; this may include but not limited to demand planning activities, operational health statuses, customer KPI information etc, accessible to end users via visual displays or mobile devices. Proactive development of solutions leveraging latest trends/tools in big data analytics, providing recommendations for future state data driven enhancement proposals. Interface with a variety of requester’s and be able to clearly extract report requirements and deliver expectations according to tight deadlines. Create and customize requirement documents for dashboards and data lead solutions. Query and merge data from a variety of data bases, data warehouses and systems (internal and external) – overlaid with a user intuitive reporting front end solutions. Analyze reports and documents to be able to develop methodology for various business requests with a focus on standardization and continuous improvement. Taking ownership of appropriate problem management activities for IT reporting and dashboard solutions. This includes participating in root-cause analysis, recommending and following up on corrective actions Documentation of reporting requirements, procedures and business rules necessary to support the delivery of reporting. Maintain MS SQL Database, create new tables and use scripting Assist with UAT and explain dashboard functionality to key users. Supply application and process knowledge, as well as expected time and costing information, for use in Assessment and Requirement documents as requested.Perform presentations, training or attend meetings as required. Provides specific analysis of required reporting and KPI needs from SOW documents Collaborates with Global counterparts on standardization of KPI measures, customer reports, and reporting tools, etc., ensuring continuity between regions Supply knowledge and/or training as applicable to roll-out reporting capabilities across applicable sites Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization What you will bring Apprenticeship as IT specialist required or university degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or similar) and/or significant relevant experience Experience: 2+ years related experience Needs to be a first-class problem solver – Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
