We are seeking a Competitor Price & Activity Analyst to join our team here in Ashford on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to work as part of the Pricing & Revenue Management team helping to ensure that our pricing remains competitive, ticket availability is optimised, and data-driven recommendations are provided to support revenue growth.
The successful candidate will have a proven record in analytical work, data quality assurance, competitor monitoring, and commercial decision-making. The role is based in our Ashford office, with flexible working arrangements available 1-2 days per week. A driving licence or decent rail connection is a must.
Key Responsibilities And Duties- Manage the setup and maintenance of competitor price scrapes to ensure accurate pricing data.
- Input and QA competitor pricing data into internal pricing tools, querying discrepancies with suppliers.
- Set up fares and price point limits per sailing, ensuring correct pricing flows to the website.
- Run price optimisation tools, review recommendations, and implement optimal ticket prices.
- Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, marketing activity, and provide actionable insights to revenue managers.
- Have experience in a commercial or analytical environment, with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstratable data analysis experience.
- Be proficient in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, or similar packages.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be proactive, inquisitive, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate well across teams.
- Experience in the travel, ferry, or transport industry is advantageous but not essential.
Location: Ashford – this role operates Monday to Friday, with hybrid working flexibility available.
