Remote/Hybrid with extensive travel to circa 14 events per year

About The Role

We're looking for an experienced clinical healthcare professional to join us as our Deputy Performance Unit Director, taking a key leadership and hands on role within our Health & Performance Unit.

This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical expertise, leadership and operational excellence to support players competing on the DP World Tour and Hotel Planner Tour.

Working closely with the Performance Unit Director, you'll help lead and develop our integrated Health & Performance service, ensuring players receive exceptional, evidence-based care.

You'll also provide leadership in the Director's absence and support key projects, operational planning and practitioner development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership
  • Provide senior clinical leadership within the Health & Performance Unit.
  • Champion evidence-based, athlete-centred care.
  • Maintain high standards of governance, documentation and service quality.
  • Support referral pathways and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Operational Leadership
  • Lead planning and delivery of Health & Performance services at tournaments.
  • Manage practitioner rotas, resources and logistics.
  • Oversee the Performance Unit service on the Hotel Planner Tour.
  • Support equipment management, tournament operations and service delivery.
  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Mentor and support practitioners across the network.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, professionalism and continuous improvement.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and development initiatives.
  • Lead by example, helping the team achieve the highest standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with players, coaches, medical professionals, tournament teams and external partners.
  • Collaborate across the Tour to deliver an exceptional player experience.
  • Support research initiatives and industry partnerships.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines clinical credibility with strong leadership skills and a passion for supporting elite athletes.

  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in elite level sport.
  • A professional qualification: BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Chiropractic.
  • Registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Significant experience working within musculoskeletal practice.
  • Knowledge of strength and conditioning.
  • Extensive experience supporting elite athletes or high-performance sport environments.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational and operational planning capability.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to leadership.
  • Logistics, IT, electrical experience advantageous.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams or projects.
