Job Purpose

The Global Director – Finished Vehicles holds the primary responsibility of shaping and implementing a comprehensive FVL strategy within automotive, ensuring alignment with industry trends, supply chain management best practices and DP World regions. By leveraging their expertise, the FVL sub‑vertical leader actively contributes to the development of end‑to‑end solutions, utilising data‑driven insights and collaborating with the ports and terminals team to enhance thought leadership and drive sales. They play a vital role in supporting Vertical VP, global and key account management, acting as a subject‑matter expert to provide tailored solutions, presentations promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience, Skills and Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Extensive experience (15+ years) in logistics and supply chain management, with a specific focus on developing and implementing logistics strategies within the automotive industry.
  • Automotive Finished Vehicle Logistics experience required, including trade lane knowledge, RORO shipping, port processing, vehicle handling / PDI and cars in containers.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective logistics and supply chain strategies within automotive FVL segment, resulting in tangible contributions to business growth and profitability.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to work with large datasets related to automotive (ideally) supply chain operations.
  • Track record of leading cross‑functional teams and driving operational excellence within a logistics context.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex logistics concepts to non‑logistics stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience in implementing Lean methodology and driving continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with logistics technology commonly used in the automotive FVL industry.
  • Ability to positively interact with outside clients.
