Experienced Architect / Architectural Technologist

DP Architects are an award winning architectural practice established in 1988 and operate primarily within the high-end residential sector.

Our expanding workload includes bespoke single dwellings, multi-unit schemes, extensions and alterations, barn conversions and heritage conservation projects, office to flat conversions, both green / grey belt developments and specialist planning consultancy.

The Role

Working closely with the directors, you will be responsible for delivering projects through RIBAstages 4-6, coordinating and leading multidisciplinary design teams and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner for a broad range of clients.

The Successful Candidate

You will be an ARB-registered Architect or CIAT Chartered Architectural Technologist with proven UK experience and a strong technical background.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate

  • Excellent communication and strong written and presentation skills.
  • Experience delivering projects through RIBA Stages 4–6.
  • Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge across high end residential projects and complex designs.
  • Excellent CAD proficiency, ideally in Vector Works, (retraining from alternative CAD packages can be provided).
  • Experience coordinating consultants and managing project information.
  • The ability to lead projects through delivery.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues.
  • Experience on earlier project stages (0-3) and planning is desirable.

DP Architects are based in a converted listed building in the pretty rural village of Watlington, which is close to J6 of the M40.

As there is minimal public transport and as the role will include making site visits throughout the Southeast, you will need to have a valid driving license and your own vehicle.
