The Marylebone is looking for a passionate and dedicated Room Service Supervisor to join our wonderful team. You will be responsible for assisting in managing all aspects of the Room Service Department in the operational function. You will lead the team in delivering LQA, Forbes and Doyle Collection Service Standards. With a passion for guest experience and food and beverage knowledge, you will drive the success of the department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Consistent delivery of the brand and proud values during yours and your team’s interactions with the guests.
- Proactive maximisation of revenue through up-selling whilst delivering world-class service to your guests.
- To maintain a constant focus on quality - both in terms of the product and service offered.
- To have good knowledge of the menus available and be able to describe the ingredients, presentation and garnishes and make recommendations where appropriate.
- To assist with training and be a ‘buddy’ to new starters.
- To ensure the shift is well organized and that the team are allocated duties and that they are completed at the end of the shift.
- To take ownership of any guest issues raised and ensure adequate reporting of any incidents to prevent any reoccurring problems affecting the hotel's performance.
- To establish and maintain the agreed standards of procedure in the tasks required to be performed in your department.
- Correct any areas of underperformance that may affect the guest.
