Due to continued growth, Dowty Propellers (a GE Aerospace company) is offering an opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the new build manufacturing site in Brockworth, Gloucester.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation.
  • Select suppliers through qualification processes, manage supplier results, and drive improvements using supplier scorecards.
  • Own supplier audits, ensure compliance, and develop improvement plans, providing tangible real‑time benefits.
  • Assist key suppliers toward industrial standards of excellence, covering supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, and performance monitoring.
  • Apply technical understanding of engineering drawings and vendor management.
  • Expand knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures in your discipline to execute functional policy/strategy.
  • Use business driver understanding to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Exercise autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework, resolving issues with sound judgment.
  • Work within a complex team environment to AS9100 standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Sourcing able to develop strong customer relationships and act as an interface between customer and GE.
  • Ability to tailor communication to explain technical information accessibly to team members, stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
  • Manufacturing background preferably from automotive, aviation, defence or aerospace sectors.
  • Experience working to AS9100.
  • Experience on the manufacturing shop floor (highly desirable).
  • Knowledge of working to NADCAP and operating special processes (highly desirable).
  • Security Clearance Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained.
