As an operator in an aerospace environment, you will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning & repairing of customer returned units. During this process you will also support testing, warranty and engineering requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Strip down of propeller components and apply minor salvages.
- Work to drawings, manuals, specifications and business procedures.
- Ensure traceability is maintained throughout the process.
- Highlight and record defects.
- Work to H&S regulations and understand the risks within the environment.
- Support engineering / quality investigations and project work as and when required.
- Support cost-out/lean initiatives, EHS/ergonomic activities, housekeeping inspections and continuous improvement projects.
- Book in parts and be trained to use various lifting devices.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- The ability to work on mechanical and hydraulic components.
- The ability to utilise detailed manuals, drawings and other documentation to complete the task.
- High level attention to detail.
- High quality and accurate work output.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Good communication skills.
- Self-motivated and the ability to work within a team.
- Ability to work varied shift patterns when required.
