A well-established manufacturing business is looking for a Distribution Assistant to join its busy distribution team.

This is a hands-on Distribution Assistant role where you will help ensure customer orders are prepared accurately, checked thoroughly and ready for delivery or collection.

The Distribution Assistant will work closely with colleagues across the warehouse and distribution functions to maintain high standards and excellent customer service.

Hours are rotated on a weekly basis between 6:00am to 2:30pm or 1:30pm to 10pm.

Based in High Wycombe this position offers a salary of £28,000 per annum.

Duties

  • Load crates and containers for overseas deliveries
  • Transport goods between departments to ensure orders are ready for dispatch
  • Carry out quality checks to ensure products are free from damage and defects
  • Pick, pack and prepare customer orders
  • Assist with preparing finished products
  • Ensure orders are complete with no missing items or parts
  • Support customer collections and help with loading products
  • Assist delivery drivers with vehicle loading and dispatch preparation
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and ensure products are stored in the correct locations Experience
  • Reliable, flexible and able to work calmly under pressure
  • Good communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork
  • Ability to use initiative and take a proactive approach to work
  • Hands on attitude with a willingness to support different areas when required
  • Forklift licence would be advantageous but is not essential
