Join a successful manufacturing business as a Distribution Supervisor and play a key role in keeping customer deliveries running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Distribution Supervisor who enjoys leading teams, driving performance and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced distribution environment. The Distribution Supervisor role is based in High Wycombe, working a rotating shift pattern of 6:00am to 2:30pm and 2:45pm to 11:15pm. Salary up to £34,000 per annum.
Duties
- Lead, motivate and support the distribution team to achieve daily targets
- Ensure customer orders are accurate, complete and ready for dispatch on time
- Carry out quality checks to identify damaged or defective products before loading
- Coordinate product movements between sites and prepare overseas shipments
- Support drivers and customers with collections and loading activities when required
- Monitor stock locations and investigate missing items
- Maintain accurate records and complete all documentation correctly
- Promote health and safety standards across the distribution operation
- Investigate service issues and help implement improvements to prevent repeat problems
- Conduct team meetings, appraisals and support employee training and development
Experience
- At least two years of experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory position
- Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, transport or distribution environment
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Flexible, reliable and positive approach to work
- Team management qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
