Join a successful manufacturing business as a Distribution Supervisor and play a key role in keeping customer deliveries running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Distribution Supervisor who enjoys leading teams, driving performance and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced distribution environment. The Distribution Supervisor role is based in High Wycombe, working a rotating shift pattern of 6:00am to 2:30pm and 2:45pm to 11:15pm. Salary up to £34,000 per annum.

Duties

  • Lead, motivate and support the distribution team to achieve daily targets
  • Ensure customer orders are accurate, complete and ready for dispatch on time
  • Carry out quality checks to identify damaged or defective products before loading
  • Coordinate product movements between sites and prepare overseas shipments
  • Support drivers and customers with collections and loading activities when required
  • Monitor stock locations and investigate missing items
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all documentation correctly
  • Promote health and safety standards across the distribution operation
  • Investigate service issues and help implement improvements to prevent repeat problems
  • Conduct team meetings, appraisals and support employee training and development

Experience

  • At least two years of experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory position
  • Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, transport or distribution environment
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Flexible, reliable and positive approach to work
  • Team management qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
