Client Side - Senior Quantity Surveyor Liverpool Full Time β Permanent
Due to ongoing expansion, a rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Client-Side Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Head Office. Working as part of our development team, and reporting directly to the Development Director, you will be responsible for running a number of development projects from inception to completion. The projects are predominantly within Purpose Built Student Accommodation and Co-Living developments, as well as a number of commercial development projects.

We deliver best-in-class developments, with over Β£2bn of developments successfully completed to date. We have a further Β£1.6bn in the pipeline and over Β£1bn under management.
Roles and Responsibilities- Providing initial cost advice to aid in the assessment of potential PBSA/residential opportunities.
- Preparing accurate / detailed cost plans to establish the project budget.
- Managing the project cost plan from inception, through contract award, to practical completion.
- Ensure risks have been considered / managed and costs are accurate to inform the funding request.
- Being commercially responsible for on-site schemes, including cost reporting, value engineering, cash flows, dispute resolution, cost control and account management.
- Overseeing the production of tender documentation and managing contractor and supply chain relationships.
- Knowledge of Contraction Contracts especially JCT D&B contracts.
- Negotiating and overseeing construction contracts, retentions, bonds, warranties and other contractual documents.
- Agreeing final account in line with the Board approved level.
- Preferably MRICS Qualified with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
- Experience working within the living sector is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to travel throughout the UK with a full driving licence.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative and within a team.
- Demonstrable strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills, with a willingness to participate and present in meetings at various levels.
