As our portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Procurement Manager to join our Glasgow-based team and help drive the successful delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional to take ownership of procurement and contract strategy across major renewable energy developments. Working alongside engineering, grid, finance, legal and delivery teams, you'll ensure procurement decisions maximise value, mitigate risk and support project bankability from development through to construction. You'll lead procurement activities for key project packages, including major electrical and balance-of-plant scopes, while helping shape the commercial strategies that underpin successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute procurement and contract strategies for renewable energy projects Lead tendering processes, supplier selection and contract negotiations for high-value equipment and construction packages Prepare commercial evaluations, risk assessments and investment recommendations for senior stakeholders Manage supplier and contractor relationships, ensuring strong performance, cost control and contract compliance Support project delivery teams during construction, overseeing variations, milestones and payment administration Identify opportunities for commercial optimisation, value engineering and cost efficiencies Work collaboratively across technical, legal, finance and delivery functions to achieve successful project outcomes About You We're looking for a proactive, commercially astute individual who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and can manage multiple procurement workstreams simultaneously. Degree qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline Looking from 5 years' experience within renewable energy, infrastructure or capital projects Strong procurement, commercial management or contract administration expertise Experience managing tender processes, contract negotiations and supplier relationships Knowledge of contracting models such as EPC, EPC-M and multi-package contracting Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities Experience within solar PV, wind, battery storage or power infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous Why Join DRD?
