Downing is a fast growing, entrepreneurial investment manager headquartered in the City of London, with four offices across the UK and Sweden and over 200 members of staff. We invest for return while caring about the world. Downing has a structured and thorough approach to integrating sustainability, stewardship and governance into all that we do. At a company level, we are driven by our ESG strategy and obligations as a net zero carbon asset manager. This is underpinned by our commitment as a certified B Corporation, in which we are dedicated to the 'triple bottom line' of people, planet and profit. We monitor ESG performance and consistently look to improve through various responsible investment policies and by being active signatories to several industry frameworks, including UNPRI, UKSIF, ICGN, IIGCC and the UK Stewardship Code. We see contributing to policy advocacy as a core investor duty.
Diversity is important to us, and we see the benefits that having a team with a range of backgrounds and perspectives can bring. We are bold and ambitious, straightforward and we support each other. These core values are vital to everything we do – from the businesses we invest in, to the people we hire.
